RMK Retail lets people in villages buy groceries at fair prices and collect them at a spaza shop near them.
- Customers order on their phone, on the website or on WhatsApp. They pay online (PayFast), by EFT, or in cash when they collect (cash only at a shop with an RMK credit facility). Every order first waits for the shop to accept it, and EFT and PayFast orders are paid only after the shop accepts.
- RMK adds up all the orders, buys the goods from wholesalers (Big Save and others) each week, packs them into crates and delivers them to the shops.
- Retailers (shop owners) hand the orders to their customers and earn a margin on every order collected at their
shop. Retailers can also buy their own stock from RMK, on a credit facility if RMK approves one (RMK is a
registered credit provider). The website page for them is Retailers (
/retailers/). - Sales reps (learners) sign up customers and shops with their referral code and earn commission.
- Suppliers (wholesalers) upload their weekly prices, bid on RMK's requests for quotation, and confirm the purchase orders.
- Local suppliers make food and drinks, bakery, cleaning products, toiletries and personal care, or grow fresh produce. They set the price shops pay; RMK takes its service fees off what it pays them. Their goods reach the shops in one of three ways: through a drop-off point (an approved shop), delivered by the supplier straight to the shop, or collected by RMK at the supplier's premises. Super Deal Maker reviews every supplier first.
