Do this by the Needed by date on the purchase order.
-
Pack the goods on the purchase order.
-
Deliver them to RMK, or have them ready for RMK to collect.
-
If RMK collects at your loading bay, give RMK's staff space there. They pack the goods into crates for each shop with their scanners.
-
Check how you will be paid. It is written at the top of the purchase order.
What you will see
RMK scans the goods and pays for what was delivered, with the PO number as the reference. An order from a tender is paid by EFT against the PO number on delivery. An order from your weekly price list is paid cash on collection. RMK has no credit terms with suppliers.
If something goes wrong
- You delivered less than ordered. This is a short supply. Short goods are never paid. It also lowers your scorecard. If RMK needs the goods again, they come on a new purchase order at that week's price.
- RMK sent you a claim (DN-…). A shop returned goods because of your fault, for example expired or damaged before delivery. Settle it with RMK by a credit note or a refund.
- The payment is less than you expected. Some goods may have been short. Ask RMK for the receiving record of the purchase order. Also give RMK your VAT number if you are registered for VAT.
